As you know, we have been participating in exciting S.T.E.A.M. engineering projects that get students involved in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. These lessons are hands-on, engaging projects.  We would like to build grade level Makerspaces.  The Makerspace is a collaborative workspace for making, learning, exploring, and sharing that uses high tech to no tech tools.  We need your help collecting materials. These materials will be placed in shared learning spaces throughout our school for student use. We thought with the holidays coming up, this would be a great time to start collecting items for our Makerspace Material Drive.  Here are some things that we can use:

  • plastic fruit containers
  • lids of any size
  • oatmeal or coffee canisters
  • shoebox lids
  • rolls from wrapping paper
  • cardboard tubes
  • bubble wrap
  • old cd’s
  • coffee filters
  • toothpicks
  • q-tips
  • paper or plastic plates
  • paper or plastic cups
  • plastic spoons
  • cotton balls
  • straws clothespins
  • popsicle sticks
  • coffee stirrers
  • aluminum foil
  • saran wrap
  • string or yarn
  • rubber bands
  • paper clips
  • pipe cleaners
  • wire
  • tape
  • playing cards
  • index cards

Students may start bringing items in after winter break.  Thank you for your help.

UrgentPrint this articleParking - Please Read

Dear Families,

Please refrain from parking alongside Country Club Drive and Kowal Drive when picking up students at dismissal. This recent practice has caused a great deal of frustration with residents as it has created an unsafe environment for homeowners and secondary students that are being dismissed from buses.

I realize that the newly adopted parking lot procedures have not expedited a faster pick up time. However, it has secured the safety of students. The safety of students is our priority and I appreciate your attention to this matter.
