RED RIBBON WEEK is Monday, October 27-October 31, 2014. We will be celebrating at Indian Trail.   Students will be given Red Ribbons to wear for the week on Monday. We will also have special days to celebrate!

Monday: Wear Pink or Red - Students will receive a Red Ribbon to wear for the week.

Tuesday: Pajama and Slipper Day

Wednesday: Favorite Sports Team Day

Thursday: Hat Day

Friday:   Happy Grandparents Day! Students will receive a pencil

When your student is absent for any reason, please call the school before 9:30 a.m. to report their absence. If they are going to the doctor and will be late and arrive after 9:30 a.m. please call and let us know also. Our phone number is (219) 369-9016. We do have voicemail so you can call at any time and leave a message. It is checked regularly.

To help your children, please allow them to walk to class on their own. Please do not go any farther than the foyer area. If your child needs assistants to get to class a staff member will help them. In the afternoon, please wait in the foyer area, your child will come to you. Thank you so much for your assistance in this matter.

The Wellness Committee met on April 27, 2011, and formulated a policy addressing treats for classroom celebrations. The policy simply states:

“For the safety of all children, all treats furnished for students, including birthday treats, must be commercially purchased. These treats should be kept simple and in a form that is easy to pass out to students in the class.”
