Attendance

When your student is absent for any reason, please call the school before 9:30 a.m. to report their absence. If they are going to the doctor and will be late and arrive after 9:30 a.m. please call and let us know also. Our phone number is (219) 369-9016. We do have voicemail so you can call at any time and leave a message. It is checked regularly.

For the safety of our school all visitors MUST push buzzer outside to be let into the school. Visitors must sign in and out at the office and wear a visitor pass at all times.

To help your children, please allow them to walk to class on their own. Please do not go any farther than the foyer area. If your child needs assistants to get to class a staff member will help them. In the afternoon, please wait in the foyer area, your child will come to you. Thank you so much for your assistance in this matter.

Please read the pamphlet "Making Healthy Choices." The Wellness Committee has formulated a policy that addresses treats in the classroom, including birthday treats and food brought into the school for class parties or by an adult for lunch with a student. Birthday treats must be healthy (no cupcakes or sweets) Fast food, such as McDonald's, can no longer be brought into the cafeteria.
