Kesling Intermediate School PTSA [Parent/Teacher/Student Association]

The PTSA supports numerous Student and Teacher activities throughout the school year. The money we raise goes back to the students and teachers including, but not limited to, Camp Tecumseh, Dare Club, Scholarships, Teacher Appreciation Luncheons, Legislation Day in Indianapolis, FUN nights, Grandparents Day, and Parent/ Teacher Conferences. Our success depends on volunteers! We can always use help at the following functions:

  • Classroom Volunteer – assist a classroom teacher in some capacity.
  • Picture Day- help the photographer & organize students for pictures.
    • Volunteer receives reduced cost picture package for student.
  • Port-a-Pit Fundraiser- hand out orders during the chicken sale.
  • Ice Cream Social- 3 times a year from (12-12:30) serve ice cream to honor roll students.
  • Athletic Fundraiser- between (12-2) on a school day in October; help sort and distribute products.
  • Mega Party- 1-2 hours; supervise students on play equipment.
  • Fun Night- supervise students from (2:20 to 4:45).
  • Provide food and/ or supplies for specific events ( Parent/ Teacher Conferences in October, Staff Appreciation Days- 1 in the winter and 1 in spring)
  • Volunteer Coordinator- call parents to help with PTSA volunteer opportunities- specific by grade – 6th, 7th, or 8th.
  • Membership- become a PTSA member(dues are split between Kesling and Indiana PTSA)
    • $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students

You do not have to belong to the Kesling PTSA to be involved with any of these volunteer opportunities. Our mission is simply to build stronger partnerships between parents, teachers and students, Kesling PTSA meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 3:30pm in the conference room. All are welcome to attend-member or not.
