Attached is the Lincoln Elementary School Re-Entry Plan. Please take a moment to read through this information. It explains the safety precautions and procedures that will be in place as students return to school. 

Print this articleREGISTRATION FOR NEW STUDENTS

Registration forms for new students are available on the La Porte Community School website, www.lpcsc.k12.in.us. Look on the left side of the home page for the parent portal, then student enrollment forms. You may fill these forms out ahead of time and then bring them to Lincoln. Copies of the student's birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of address are also required to register. IF YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO THE BUILDING, MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED TO ENTER.

The documents can also be completed and sent via email to krice@lpcsc.k12.in.us or by fax to (219) 324-6297.

ARRIVAL

8:35 a.m. Students having breakfast should arrive. For social distancing purposes, please do not drop students off earlier than 8:35. There will be no congregating outside the building.

8:45 a.m. First bell rings

8:55 a.m. Second bell rings

Students arriving after 8:55 are considered tardy and must be brought to the office by a parent.

IN THE EVENT OF A 2-HOUR DELAY

No breakfast is served

10:45  1st bell rings

10:55  2nd bell rings

DISMISSAL

All dismissal changes must be called in by 2:30 p.m. 

Dismissal will begin at 3:10 to alleviate crowds outside of the school. 

Students who are not picked up in a timely fashion will be sent to Child Care.  Fees will apply.

The Corporation Wellness Committee has formulated a policy that addresses treats in the classroom, including birthday treats and food brought into the school for class parties or by an adult for lunch with a student. Birthday treats must be healthy (no cupcakes or sweets) Fast food, such as McDonald's, can no longer be brought into the cafeteria. Please refer to the pamphlet "Making Healthy Choices" for more information.

Print this articleLincoln Receives Peepers for Teachers Award!

Lincoln Elementary School is thrilled to be the recipient of the most recent Peepers for Teachers award. Peepers is a Michigan City based company that provides quarterly donations to local schools to support teachers in their efforts to educate our students. The entire Lincoln staff received a pair of Peeper's glasses and the school received a check for $1,500 to enhance our students' education. We can't thank Peepers enough for their generosity!
