2017 ISTEP+ Parent Portal
Beginning on June 19, your student’s preliminary Spring 2017 ISTEP+ results will be available for you to review through the ISTEP+ Parent Portal. Through the Parent Portal, you will be able to view your students score, performance level (Did Not Pass, Pass, or Pass+), and written responses to ISTEP+ Part 1 questions for each subject area test your student took. After reviewing this information, you may also request that your student’s response to one or more questions be rescored from June 19, 2017 through July 7, 2017. Parent Portal will temporarily deactivate from July 8 through July 30 for final results reporting.
The ISTEP+ Parent Portal can be accessed at https://results.pearsonaccessnext.com/ using a standard web browser. Final results are available on July 31, 2017.

La Porte Community School Corp Smoking Policies
La Porte Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees adopted policies at their March 19, 2013 regular monthly meeting which eliminates the use of tobacco products on Corporation property and in all Corporation owned vehicles.
Policy 7434 states, "In order to protect students and staff from the adverse impact of tobacco smoke on indoor air quality and encourage students to not use tobacco in any form, the Board prohibits the use of tobacco in school buildings, on school grounds, at school activities, and on school buses at all times."
Adults who would like to quit smoking in this challenging economy can call Indiana’s free tobacco Quitline at 1-800-QUITNOW. In addition to valuable support from trained counselors, callers also receive a great financial boost with two free boxes of nicotine patches or gum.
La Porte Community School Corporation staff or parents who would like to improve their health – and that of their families - are encouraged to call the Quitline at 1-800-784-8669.
