LPCSC Before & After School Care (2026–2027)

La Porte Community School Corporation has partnered with the La Porte County Family YMCA to operate before- and after-school care beginning with the 2026–2027 school year. The program starts August 14, the first day of school, and continues to offer a safe, structured environment with time for homework, indoor and outdoor activities, arts and crafts, and a healthy afternoon snack.

Sites

  • Crichfield Elementary (336 W. Johnson Rd.) serves Crichfield students.
  • ESC/Boston (1000 Harrison St.) serves Hailmann, Handley, Kingsford Heights, Indian Trail, Kingsbury, and Riley students. LPCSC bus transportation is provided to and from school.

Hours

  • Crichfield: 6:00 a.m. until the school day begins, and after school until 6:00 p.m.
  • ESC/Boston: 6:00 a.m. with bus transportation to school, and bus drop-off until 6:00 p.m.

Registration is open now. Families enrolled in 2025–2026 received priority access, and remaining spots are filling, so we recommend registering early. Register at lpymca.org or by scanning the QR code in the handbook. A $30 annual registration fee applies per child.

Financial assistance is available, and you do not need to be a YMCA member to apply. Learn more at lpymca.org/financial-assistance.

For full details on fees, the payment schedule, attendance, and program policies, please review the parent handbook below.
