Intra-District Transfers — Opens February 25, 2026

Elementary students residing within the La Porte Community School Corporation boundaries who wish to attend a K-4 elementary school other than their assigned school may request an intra-district transfer. Requests are reviewed on a rolling basis, subject to available space within each building. The superintendent and principal will review all requests and make approval decisions based on available space and academic, safety, and/or family considerations.

If your student is already attending their requested school during the 2025-2026 school year, you do not need to submit a new request; current approvals remain in effect on a rolling basis.

To request an intra-district transfer for the 2026-2027 school year, please complete this form for each student. Questions? Contact Tammy VanHook in the Superintendent's Office at tvanhook@lpcsc.k12.in.us.

Open Enrollment for Out-of-District Families — Opens April 1, 2026

Families who reside outside La Porte Community School Corporation boundaries and wish to enroll their student(s) in our district may apply beginning April 1, 2026. Please complete the online application here.

Completed applications will be automatically submitted to the Superintendent's Office for review. All requests are considered on a case-by-case basis, taking into account current class sizes and building capacity. Please note that not all applications may be approved. If approved, families are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from school for the duration of the school year.

The Superintendent's Office will notify families of their determination. Email the Superintendent's Office at tvanhook@lpcsc.k12.in.us with any questions.

RETURNING STUDENTS
  • Online registration is for all RETURNING students. You will receive a communication around August 1, 2026, prompting you to complete your Student Information Update for the 2026 - 2027 school year. At that time, you will log in to your Skyward Family Access Portal and update your information.
  • During the update, you will be asked to validate student information and emergency contacts, and to complete all necessary forms for the upcoming school year. It is very important that you complete these steps to ensure that all future communication is accurately delivered. If you have a change of address or other basic demographic data to update, you must visit your school building and provide all appropriate paperwork for validation.
