Our NEW Civic Arts Locally Created Pathway (LCP) offers specialized tracks for students passionate about performing arts. This innovative program satisfies Indiana's new diploma requirements while developing your artistic talents and preparing you for careers in the arts.

Four Specialized Tracks:

1. Band Track

• Core Requirements:

  • 3 years of band classes (any combination)
  • Enrollment in band during senior year

• Required Coursework: Beginning or Intermediate Concert Band plus one principles course (Business Management, Teaching, or Human Services)

• Advanced Coursework: Advanced Concert Band

• Employability Skills: Options include student assistant roles, cadet teaching with performing arts teachers, leadership positions, or ISSMA Solo & Ensemble participation

• Culminating Experience: Senior website portfolio or senior pathway recital

2. Choir Track

• Core Requirements:

  • 3 years of choir classes (any combination)
  • Enrollment in choir during senior year

• Required Coursework: Beginning Chorus plus one principles course (Business Management, Teaching, or Human Services)

• Advanced Coursework: Advanced Chorus

• Employability Skills: Similar options to the band track, focused on vocal performance

• Culminating Experience: Senior website portfolio or senior pathway recital

3. Orchestra Track

• Core Requirements:

  • 3 years of orchestra classes (any combination)
  • Enrollment in orchestra during senior year

• Required Coursework: Intermediate Orchestra plus one principles course (Business Management, Teaching, or Human Services)

• Advanced Coursework: Advanced Orchestra

• Employability Skills: Performance and leadership opportunities similar to band track

• Culminating Experience: Senior website portfolio or senior pathway recital

4. Theater Track

• Core Requirements:

  • 3 years of theater performances
  • Participation in productions during senior year

• Required Coursework: Theater Arts or Technical Theater plus one principles course (Business Management, Teaching, or Human Services)

• Advanced Coursework: Advanced Theater Arts or Advanced Technical Theater

• Employability Skills: Production roles, cadet teaching, officer positions, or management experience

• Culminating Experience: Senior website portfolio or performance/design presentation
