La Porte Community School Corporation has been approved for a state waiver to add eight two-hour early-release days during the school year (September through April). On these days, students would be dismissed two hours earlier than usual.

This time will be used for teacher professional learning so that our staff can continue to strengthen instruction and support for your children. What This Means for Families

• On early-release days, your child will be dismissed two hours earlier than usual. Please plan accordingly for pickup, childcare, or after-school arrangements.
• Hours for Little Learners, Transitional Kindergarten, and child care programs may be affected. Each program will share specific details.
• If a school delay is called on a scheduled early release day, the early release will be canceled, and students will follow the regular dismissal schedule.
