The La Porte Community School Corporation Maintenance Department serves as the backbone of our educational community, ensuring safe, clean, and well-maintained learning environments for nearly 6,000 students across the district. This dedicated team manages comprehensive facility operations including grounds maintenance and landscaping, building repairs and preventive maintenance, snow removal and winter weather preparedness, and daily custodial services throughout all district properties.
From classroom repairs that keep instruction running smoothly to beautifully maintained athletic fields and playgrounds, our maintenance professionals work year-round to create spaces where students can focus on learning and achievement. Their commitment to excellence ensures that every school building, office, and outdoor area meets the high standards our community expects and deserves.

Parent Pesticide Notification Form
The La Porte Community School Corporation is committed to providing students a safe environment that prevents children from being exposed to pests and pesticides.
Our Maintenance Department practices Integrated Pest Management techniques, which call for non-chemical treatment for pest control whenever practical. With few exceptions, pesticides will not be applied during normal instructional hours when school is in session. Fertilizers and weed-control products may be applied during instructional hours provided the area is not immediately adjacent to student-occupied buildings.
Parents who wish to receive advance notice of all pesticide applications should click on the following link to access the Request for Notification of Pesticide Applications form. Please print this document, read it carefully, and return the completed form to the school office.

The health, comfort, and learning environment of students and staff are important aspects of La Porte Schools.
