Degree: I attended Purdue University (Boiler Up!), graduating in 2008. Two years later, I completed the Transition to Teaching program at IUSB.

Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a journalist at the La Porte County Herald-Argus. I began as a reporter and then went on to edit the Community page. I also had a weekly column for a time.

Ms. Ashley Slater

My name is Ashley Slater, and I’m happy to be a part of the LPHS English department.  I teach English 9A (Lit), English 9B (Comp), and Intermediate Writing. I graduated from Penn High School and earned my degree from Indiana University South Bend.  I’m a member of the safety committee here at the high school and enjoy being a part of your Slicer experience here at LPHS.
